52. Michu was a sweet cat that sailed across Panama and Colombia. He kept company to the crew and to the guests while sailing across San Blas. It was a hell of a trip, and I was very sea sick. The first day of the sail, he mostly hid under the bridge. He must have been so sick, poor kitty! Photographed by Claudia Tavani, My Adventures Across the World

53. I was in Cotacachi, Ecuador, and it had just stopped raining. I was walking back to the bus stop, and I spotted this lovely lady who was just looking outside her door, curiously. Her cat was doing the very same. She smiled at me, and I asked her if I could take a picture. She did not mind and smiled at the camera for me. I then went to pet the cat, but he decided he was too busy for me. Photographed by Claudia Tavani, My Adventures Across the World

56. This sweet little feline is one a many feral cats who live amongst the Ephesus ruins in Turkey. They are all quite friendly and "tame," letting anyone give a scratch behind the ear or to an exposed fluffy belly. Ephesus is their home and who knows! -- they may just be the descendants of 6,000-year-old cats who also called Ephesus home. Photographed by Josie Schneider, House Sitting Travel
