Il Pescatore 57 Jack London Square. This atmospheric, bustling, remotely ark-shaped restaurant serves a variety of garlic-laden Italian seafood dishes. Though waiters don spiffy white shirts with black vests and ties, customers dress casually. Garlicky baked Dungeness crab, positioned attractively on large clamshells, is a great appetizer. Entrees include a delicious, delicate fresh filet of sole covered in a light egg batter and sautéed with white wine, lemon juice, and capers. The extensive, mouth-watering menu offers more seafood choices, plus meats, pastas, and vegetarian items--all accompanied by steamed fresh chard and pasta tubes in a light tomato sauce. A slab of liquor-soaked housemade tiramisu provides a just right, not-too-sweet ending.
